You Could Blame Paul

and Peter too (both of whom were apostles of Jesus Christ) for the scriptures:

Paul:

...when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. (1 Th 2:13)

Peter:

...even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (2 Pe 3:15, 16)

Jesus:

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)

Moses:

And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Thou shalt speak all that I command thee...And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they. (Ex 7:1, 2, 6)

There are, of course, others...you'll have to read the whole book.

You could blame them for all this scripture stuff, but let's lay the blame where it really lies, as Paul did:

Ephesians 3
1
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Gal 1:11, 12)

And as Peter did:

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Pet 1:20, 21)

How thankful I am to God that He found men who were faithful to write down what he told them to write! No doubt you are too!
